Great Day!!!!!

Today the boys were able to welcome into the world our newest
arrivals.

The boys did great making sure that "Mommy" was able to see every move they made with her babies.

Some of the boys made it a fishing day. Every time I would look over they had a fish on..

Ephraim had a mini concert under the shade trees. Who knew Ephraim could sing???

Even the Llamas were taking advantage of the beautiful weather and playing in the sprinklers.

Wow!!! What a great day!!!

Thunder Over Utah!!!

The weather changed up the plans, but we were still able to take the upper level students off ranch to see the Blue Angels Air Show. The boys had a great time!
The special guest of the show was the F22 Raptor. This plane was Amazing!! It could do things that I didn’t know a plane could do. At the end of the F22 Raptor demonstration they had a vintage fighter plane fly with it.
Then came the Stars of the show, The Blue Angels!! All I can say is WOW!
Even thought the sky was not as clear as we would like it to be, the show was a hit!!
Had to take time to pose with a couple of the planes.. Clayton and Steven didn’t mind that the bathroom lines were a mile loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnngggg.

A special Thanks to all of the staff that were able to attend on their day off to make sure that the boys were safe…It really ment a lot to the boys..

Lava Falls takes the Title!!!

As a benefit the weekend staff camp up with a great idea to have a “Halo” tournament between Stone Ridge and Lava Falls. The boys went through the qualifying rounds and then it was on to the Finals..

Stone Ridge came out strong, but couldn’t finish. Eric, Reed, and Ryan won the final and have the bragging rights to the best Halo players on ranch. Nice job boys…. Way to represent Lava Falls Campus well.

Thanks to the Staff for taking the time to put together a great tournament!

Matt Blanchard Speaks to DRA

Diamond Ranch Academy had a very special speaker last night. Matt Blanchard came to the ranch and told his story.
What an amazing story it was…

Seven years ago Matt was in a horrific auto accident that left him paralyzed. The day of his accident he tells the boys how he was told so many times that day to put his seat belt on by his best friend. He then went on to tell us how is choice then had impacted every person and aspect of his life.

Matt showed the boys a movie of him going through therapy to try to walk again and the struggles that he went through. I think that you could have heard a pin drop in the building.

The boys stayed behind and didn’t want to leave. They asked great questions of Matt and wanted to get a group photo. A special thanks to Matt for taking the time to talk with us, and a special thanks to the boys for representing themselves well.

Movie Time…

Getting each of the boys their own candy, popcorn, and soda was a big chore.
Seeing how grateful and thankful they were to go to the movie, and Get the treats..... Priceless!!
When the boys returned to Ranch they were given an additional gift of a concert from Ephraim. I didn’t know that Ephraim could sing?
All in All a great break to the
Week.

Homeade Christmas

The guys this year were able to participate in a friendly competition where they decorated the dorms with the items they already had or recieved on a daily basis. They LOVED IT! Here is some of their handy work...

 Frosty the Snowman?

Snowflakes can be different colors!
 Is that Snow??
 SANTA!!!
These guys were just planning ahead for new years!
And to top it off a true Charlie Brown christmas tree!

It was awesome to see the boys get so into this little competition and to realize that the true gifts are not things like electronics and cars and money, but rather they are each other, service, family, and giving not just recieving.....
Santa made a specialtrip to the DRA Cabin early, and I mean early, Sunday morning. Where he gave out stocking to all the students.
The boys had a great time. It was nice to see how appreciative the boys were for the gifts they received.
Lava Falls had a dorm decorating contest, and man did they do a great job. Kyle and Ike did an amazing job.

They had a great time making the dorms look speical for the day.  The day was overall AMAZING!!
Have a wonderful holiday season. The boys did great.

A Little Pickle Ball Anyone??

The Lava Falls Boys that passed their week, were taken off ranch to play a little pickle ball.
“Let the games begin”

I think the boys thought that it would be easy. They had a blast and we all had a lot of laughs..

Not sure, but I think some of the boys are going to join the “Professional Pickle Ball” Tour..

After a lot of laughs and breaking out in a sweat, it is time for a snow cone… Can’t beat that!!
